Charming, Cheesy And Highly Entertaining This Is A Film That Works On Stage.

Mayank A (us) wrote: Wow, loved the charter of Lou Bloom, what a guy & the way Jake Gyllenhaal portrays him is electrifying, still wondering how he could be charming, creepy, genius and psychopath at the same time. The take on the modern day news media is spot on. The movie has awesome direction, picturisation and script.

Jack P (es) wrote: A butchering of a classic children's book. Lifted into being average by Andy Serkis's entertainingly hammy performance and the always endearing Jim Broadbent.

Daniel P (mx) wrote: A good sports movie. Not great mind you, but certainly good. Lots of the same stuff you find in any sports movie. The actors were good. The main source of enjoyment for me comes from this being a movie about swimming. It's certainly inspiring for swimmers. I'd recommend watching this movie whenever you get the chance. It's a great flick to get you amped up and excited. It explores race relations and the power of sports to change that. It's a good film for Terrence Howard. He's at his peak in this one. Bernie Mac too. After seeing this I missed Bernie Mac even more. Well, it's certainly quotable, but it's not one of THE great sports movies. It's kind of like a somewhat memorable pep talk. I'd rent it. Maybe buy it. Depends on my mood.

Andrew K (it) wrote: The original sequel to Ring, this stays truer to the original novel, but is so artless, insipid and determined to take no creative cues from Ring that it ends up an unworthy adaptation. The production company swept this under the carpet and released a film called "Ring 2" in its place, which tells you just about all you need to know. Ring fans should probably see it anyway.

Andy C (it) wrote: Well it certainly succeeds at being unsettling. Swinging, drastic turnaround to religious zealotry, following a pretty clearly false prophet, going postal, going crazy, then ending in what appears to be the basement of the Grand Canyon. Sure, it made me think, doesn't mean I liked it.

Jake B (nl) wrote: Strangely, a wonderful horror film. A death romp with a larger story behind it that works. Fun characters that have their own personalities, some of which you're excited to see die. All in all, a good film, and a perfect massacre.
