Woody Allen y est hilarant plusieurs occasions et l'histoire est intressante... Le plus vieux mtier du monde serait pas seulement de faire, mais aussi donner de l'amour...
Bengel W (ag) wrote: Another perfect formatted American lifestyle propaganda film especially made for the teen. Music is spoilt by the lack of sync and sound quality that does not represent the room the actors are actually singing in. Bitchy spoilt brats and the typical goody all mixed in to the inevitable ending. Your teens will probably love it, sad really. Nibbles: Rolo

And I am glad I found this hidden gem. What I thought by reading a film review was that I was in for another teeny bobber film, it was far from that. A well written film with tons of suspense and a twist at the end that I didn't see coming. Well worth the watch and I will add to my collection. 4 1/2 stars.
Thomas P (ag) wrote: The Astatke soundtrack is almost worth the price of admission alone, and the movie is enjoyable and funny. A rich couch-potato is thrown into a series of circumstances, none of which resolve the purpose of the quest, and more questions are raised by the end. The journey is all a pleasure, however, with Murray in classic, dead-pan, mode. The movie is relatively pared back, and doesn't aim too high, but does what it does very well. A classic Jarmusch film.

Daniel H (nl) wrote: With more just a mere nod to Blade Runner, Natural City involves R, an agent in charge of hunting down renegade battle droids. He's also involved with a pleasure droid Ria, whose lifespan is approaching to an end. So desperate is he to save Ria, he resorts to approaching black market robot engineers and smugglers. His distraction makes him a liability to the agents, putting him at odds with his commander and friend Noma. In terms of style and design, great, but there aren't that many likeable characters, as R is selfish and self-pitying, although the actresses playing Ria and Syon, a girl targeted by the battle droids, are pretty to look at.
Jamison R (us) wrote: Heart wrenching and real, this documentary shows what on the surface appears to be simply an undereducated young man. As it unravels we begin to see more of the troubling details of his life. Very well done documentary.
Wittney H (es) wrote: The complete disregard for motive makes the movie seem like an unifinished thought. Parts of the dialogue and strange logic used throughout are laughable. But overall, the movie is watchable and keeps you interested which is enough reason to take the time to see it for yourself.

Valerie M (jp) wrote: The direction was surprisingly sophisticated, with very little expository dialogue, which I appreciate. The main cast was great, the supporting not so much, so I could have liked it a lot more. Claude Rains was, as always, fantastic, and Bette Davis was very, very good. The ending was played a bit too sincerely for me--it's actually a very bleak one, and should have been a bit more ironic. It was also surprisingly frank and much more political than films from the era I'm used to seeing. I enjoyed more than I thought I would.
