Kris L (jp) wrote: Although somewhat grim,it was a very well acted, written, and filmed piece of art. Hal Holbrook deserves the critical praise he received for the movie. Plus it was filmed in East Tennessee and it really makes it feel like the middle of summer here.

Brian P (kr) wrote: Not one of Albert Brooks best movie but it still has enough good parts to at least check it out. Brooks plays himself as he is picked by the government to go to Pakistan & India to find out what makes the Muslims laugh and to write a 500 page report about what he finds. He is usually more scared of writing the 500 pages than some of the situations he gets into. Worth a rental.

Now it's up to a Chinese cop and a mouthy self obsorbed L.A. cop to get it together and try to get along although they have two different ways of doing things. REVIEW: With the fast action of jackie Chan and the fun hilarious antics of Chris Tucker this movie is super fun and tremendously entertaining. It's another one of those that has the perfect mixture of humor and action blended together to make it a very entertaining and fun movie. Chan's martial arts are better than ever bringing very fast paced action and Chris Tucker brings the humor very rapidly as well. Rush Hour is definitely one of my many favorite buddy cop movies.

Savanna B (nl) wrote: I can see why this movie was so controversial. Interesting movie and slightly disturbing.

James R (mx) wrote: Confusing confusing confusing. Not sure what it was about, but after giving Luigi Pirendello another shot I'm convinced this guy just love to babble. The narrative is all over the place and the story is ridiculous. If you wanna watch a crappy movie where people yell at each other the whole time check it out. I hope I never ever see this again.

Mereie d (fr) wrote: Nice adventure movie about pals-for-life with creative, adventurous hobbies and equally adventurous plans to get hold of a fortune. Things going wrong lead to a rather tragic ending. Not bad at all, but it pays relatively a lot of time to atmosphere and scene setting. I watched it a second time tonight, but wouldn't buy the dvd.

Matt G (mx) wrote: Nice performances (can one expect anything less from Spencer Tracy?) but the movie seems flat, without arc, build or suspense.

Christopher S (br) wrote: Rape revenge exploitation film. This is pretty difficult to watch and found the light heartedness to creepy to find entertaining. Thought the remake was better.

Greg I (ru) wrote: This movie was great. The story on skull island was amazing. It brought the entire mystery of King Kong to life. The film is long, but rewarding.

Scott M (mx) wrote: The amount of suspense & violence makes "Shallow Ground" a rather eerie , atsmopheric and unsettling little film.

Petros T (ag) wrote: From an emotional standpoint, "Stardust" feels rather confined by its standard fairytale plot, yet remains a charming adventure bolstered by the eye-popping visuals and the strong cast, which features a deliciously out-of-character Robert De Niro.

Terra A (us) wrote: I really enjoyed the movie. The story was fascinating and the cinematography was beautiful. I found Richard Gere's performance to be one of his best. It was a very different role from his usual roles. I would like to see more these smaller budget films made.

Andy D (ca) wrote: I love JJ Abrams. The fact that his Bad Robot studio snuck this out without anyone really even knowing it was under production is just brilliant.I loved the original Cloverfield movie, and I was intrigued to see how this sequel would fit into the Cloverfield 'universe'.Its essentially a set-piece, with nearly the entire movie set in an underground bunker, with only the 3 main actors on screen. The character development is excellent, and John Goodman in particular is superb. Is he the bad guy? Isn't he? Whats he up to? Has there been an attack? Is he nuts? All will be revealed eventually, as the movie finally breaks out in the last act, and how it actually fits into the Cloverfield story is not entirely made clear. But this stuck with me, and I found myself thinking about it lots the day after watching it, so in that respect it did its job. Its not brilliant, but certainly worth a look.
