Facebook U (ag) wrote: Overall, Enemy at the Gates is a well acted, graphic, and realistic look at war, but the fact all the characters speak english, and on top of that none of them have accents, makes the whole experience feel a little silly. Now many may complain about the romance, but it didn't really bother me. It really wasn't that cheesy and in fact it wasn't really in the movie much until the end. What's hard for war movies to though is create dynamic characters, and the characters is Enemy at the Gates are just that. I actually remembered who was who and really cared when some of the main characters died later in the movie. It's a well made film made film I think was striving for greatness, but didn't quite meet that quota. Oh well, silver's good too.

Yicheng L (ru) wrote: You know, despite the monotonous emotion of happy-go-luckiness being constantly thrown in my face as I dilly-dally'd through the movie's drab plot, unbelievable personifications of different insects, and all too familiar and hardly impressive animation, the thing that ended up bothering me the most was the static shading of the sky. It was almost like summer in Alaska, unless I've been living under a rock, because since when was nighttime as bright as the day?
Matt L (ru) wrote: Complete garbage from beginning to end. Film students will study this to learn how not to make a movie. This barely qualifies as a movie. Tyler Perry sucks at acting, sucks at directing, he has no idea what he is doing.
