The Unprecedented Defence of the Fortress Deutschkreuz
A satire on war and on the stupid things war inspires people to do. Four young men enter an abandoned fortress. Inside, they find military uniforms, which they immediately resolve to use to stage a bizarre war game. Their actions appear all the more senseless in relation to the peaceful everyday reality of the workers in the surrounding countryside.
A flute plays, while a voice intones a brief history of the outpost where there was once a WWII battle between the Germans and Russians... . You can read more in Google, Youtube, Wiki

(fr) wrote: Carey Mulligan is perfect for the role of the seventeen year old caught at a crossroads. Great acting overall... I felt like the movie could have flowed better and bordered on clich at moments but the performances and overall realness of the movie redeem its flaws
(gb) wrote: Fast Food Nation's unnecessarily disjointed narrative weakens its overall impact slightly, but it still manages to get its important message across thanks to solidly written social commentary and great performances from the ensemble

(au) wrote: Saw this after I saw TP's Temptation and was like night and day. One too many coincidences, which were deliberate for the plot (but I still hate movies built on coincidences). But overall, a very enjoyable and thoughtful movie.Deductions: 1 star cause I didn't like Linda's explanation of Steve. .5 star cause of the coincidences.
(us) wrote: This movie is just terrible. I am in year7 have read the book and hated this movie with strong passion. The acting is terrible, the themes are completely skipped over and it sucks even without reading the book. They wont name Sam amd Eric in the credits but there is a kid named 'Rapper'! WHAT THE HELL
(it) wrote: Based on the What's so Funny about Truth, Justice, and the American Way? Superman arc by Joe Kelly (who turned this story into a screenplay as well), this one is precisely the Supes movie the audience who has fallen out of love with the character needs and deserves. Not only is it one of Superman's darkest tales, but it's a great representation of why the Man of Steel's "antiquated" ways are really timeless and necessary. It's a very Punk Rock DC film about heroism and it really delivers.
