There's a few funny moments here and there mostly thanks to a well cast Eric McCormack but unlike Lost Skeleton Of Cadavra this is an homage (sorta like Ti West's House of the Devil) and not a spoof-style comedy.

Kim D (it) wrote: Implausible revenge drama tries to make a social observation but is way too hectic for its own good. The bullies are overwrought and underwritten, one-dimensional to the point of being non-characters. The heroes are just slightly better - Andrew Stevens doesn't quite have the acting thing down yet, but at least he's hunky, while Kimberly Beck turns in a likable performance despite the wonky characterisation on the level of the script. There is a sort of 70's charm to the whole thing, though, which probably accounts for its cult following.
Christopher S (nl) wrote: Very entertaining British sci-fi film manages to build some genuine suspense despite its cheesy special effects. A great cast of colorful character actors led by Peter Cushing brings some of that cheeky British humor to a somewhat familiar set-up. The creature effects are laughable, but somehow that doesn't hurt the intelligent and well-plotted story. It does drag in some places, but director Terence Fisher knows how to build tension before the exciting finale.

Ok, I did like the beginning of the movie. The claustrophobic feeling reminded me of 'Alien', and I do like the bit of mystery that surrounds the ship. However, after the first encounter with the mutants, I figured out that the film would be messy and bizarre. Nice try, but no cigar. Starring Dennis Quaid (InnerSpace, Vantage Point), Ben Foster (30 Days of Night, 3:10 to Yuma) and Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead). The Elysium, an interstellar Ark containing 60.000 people in cryo-sleep, is travelling 123 years through space towards a planet Thanis. Along the way, Corporal Bower (Foster) and his superior Lieutenant Payton (Quaid) are awakened due to power surges. Unable to reach the bridge and suffering from a slight memory loss, Bower decides to re-start the reactor. Following the dark corridors of the ship, he gets the glimpse of a woman. He tries to follow her, but stumbles upon a pack of pale-skinned mutants. What are these creatures doing on board the Elysium?
Petros T (gb) wrote: "Rush Hour" might be quite unoriginal in both its plot and its characters, but the great thing is that it doesn't matter. And that's because here is a prime example of a buddy-cop movie done right: fast-paced, action-packed and funny as hell. Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker make for an excellent on-screen partnership: they are very enjoyable on their own and on fire whenever they appear together. "Rush Hour" hits its targets with admirable ease.
