The Wild Angels

Peter Fonda plays 'Heavenly Blues', the leader of Hell's Angels chapter from Venice, California while Bruce Dern plays 'Loser', his best pal. When they both botch their attempt to retrieve Loser's stolen bike, Loser ends up in the hospital. When the Angels bust him out, he dies, and they bury him. Nancy Sinatra plays Mike, Blues' "old lady" and Diane Ladd plays Loser's wife (Dern's real-life wife at the time). Unheard M (fr) wrote: i must say that the movie impressed me. Yes it fails to explain certain things, yes it banks on the military horror stereotypes and yet it sustains the thrill and terror till the end. there are several things to watch out: firstly the sharp screenplay portraying infighting and the growing tension among the military men, secondly the psychological troubles due to claustrophobia, thirdly the trope of a dumb witch etc.The camera work, i must say, is excellent.. Hand held techniques followed by conventional camera work: constant focus on the faces of the characters and the use of a haunting pale light.

DAN B (us) wrote: This movie is HOTTTT. You really need to see this one. Well written, great actors, relevant and up to date story line. The movie keeps your interest all the way thru. Jade Jenise Dixon is definitely the next Tyler Perry. Don't sleep on this one, pick it up today. A must have for your library. I got mine...

Brendan R (jp) wrote: The first time I saw this I didn't really pay attention and didn't remember much. Rewatched with some friends and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Not the most memorable Studio Ghibli, but still good.

Mark P (mx) wrote: Can't pin it down, but this film was disappointing.

David G (mx) wrote: There's a sweet and bizarre charm that works better performed than written with a nice cast. It reminds me a lot of quirky Tim Burton movies mixed in with a sense of humor from an old Jimmy Stewart film. I guess in a sense it's like 'Pleasantville', but really its a funny and bizarre romantic comedy that comes closer to movies I really like.

Li N (gb) wrote: Horrible waste of time. First 45 minutes are redundant. They stretched 50 minutes to establish his background. I'm having a hard time understanding how so many praise this film. This is not a film you would watch again without fast forwarding the first hour of it at least.

Dan G (ca) wrote: For as good as Samuel Jackson is? This one didn't do it. Very disappointing...

Dane W (ag) wrote: Steven Spielberg does it again with a film taking us back to World War 2 along with realistic and disturbing footage of war.

Woody W (it) wrote: Mildly entertaining whenever there is some action on screen and the cinematography is pretty good -- even though John Ford preferred black and white film to color. However, the melodrama between Fonda and Colbert really dragged the story down, in my opinion.
