The main protagonists are four – later five – girls: Sprotte (Charlotte), who is the spunky yet friendly main narrator, her best friend Frieda, a level-headed girl who is a member of Terre des hommes, shy and bespectacled Trude, who is unsure because of her obesity, and her best friend, the beautiful, shallow and vain, yet amicable Melanie. Later, they are joined by Wilma, a tough boys-hating tomboy, who is later revealed as a lesbian.

Patryk C (ru) wrote: One of the strongest Polish films of the year and clearly a psychological experience that revives the faith in the country's film industry. It's a traumatizing depiction of harrowing World War II events that took place in just a few days time. With a confusing (at first) yet inspiring narrative style Oblawa achieves the much-needed level of a perfectly tense drama. Sombre and atrocious in the evaluation of human nature, Oblawa never stops to proclaim its visibly denuding nature. Masculine, brutal and rude, it's definitely not a movie for the faint of heart.
Marshal B (it) wrote: I can describe this entire film in two words; cinematic gold. This film makes Citizen Kane look like a black and white piece of garbage. This is one of those classic horror films you want to watch with the whole family. Grandma will love it! Seriously, even if you have to pay $50 for this on eBay, just buy it. I simply cANT believe how great this film is!
Darren F (fr) wrote: grab a few beers cuz this no budget cheepest looking sci-fi flick ever complete with what looks like cgi effects from a 3D0 video game, and sets that give you no remote impression your in space or a spaceship, and hilariously bad acting and situations
Michael M (gb) wrote: As if Disney had made a film about two gay dads who end up being 'dads' to a prissy pre-teen boy. A well-made film that feels familiar because...well...it is. Devoid of chemistry between Cavanagh and Shenkman, who seem to be walking through both their lives and the film. Meh.
Jose P (fr) wrote: Decent romance from Brazil. The dual plot line hearkens back to Woody Allen's "Crimes and Misdemeanors," but it isn't as well structured as that film. The best part about it for me was seeing the city of Sao Paulo presented so beautifully, and being able to pick out places I've been to so many times in a movie; unfortunately I've never been to New York or L.A., so being able to do that was actually rather neat. Seeing the traffic system in the city at work is also awesome, and wonderfully ties in thematically.
Sylvester K (mx) wrote: A movie can't be bad when you have Steve Martin and Helena Bonham Carter together. It's a neo-noir thriller (Also an unfunny black comedy) about drugs and lies. I really enjoyed the homage to the noir films and the analogy between tooth decay and lies. I enjoy the suspense and mystery, but it was slightly predictable. The real horror was the teeth pulling scene, it was everyone's nightmare I presume. A great film for entertainment, but certainly not the best.

Whilst on the outside he stumbles upon uptight business executive Spencer Barnes (Charles Grodin) Filofax personal organizer and ends up assuming his identity living it up in the lap of luxury turning Spencer's life upside down along the way. Now all he needs to do is break back in before the warden realizes what has happened because Belushi only has two days to go before his release from prison.

Tiberio S (it) wrote: Like Fargo, we look at the simple life through a painful, depressing scope, but with less humor and some level of absurdity. The ending does not satisfy a hopeful arc of Christian Bale's character.
