Steve W (es) wrote: This "Robin Hood" and Spaghetti Western inspired period piece features martial arts talented bandits versus corrupt politicians and noblemen. The bandits are fed up with starvation and being slaves, they take back their land and rice in gloriously choreographed fight scenes. The movie is a bit overlong, but it manages to develop all of the characters in that running time. The set design, costumes, and cinematography are gorgeous, so that also helps the dark story that riffs on the 1% themes. Although not perfect, its a fiercely entertaining period piece with a lot of flair and style.

Owen C (de) wrote: Quite possibly the worst movie I have ever seen. The first film was quite enjoyable. I used to work in a restaurant so I could tell the people involved in the first one understood what actually happens in a restaurant. This sequel however was almost unwatchable. The characters were cartoonish, the jokes not even close to being funny. It is unbelievable that such trash could be put on film. It's a total disgrace. Everyone involved should be ashamed of themselves.

Wes S (fr) wrote: Ultimately cheap and bland sci-fi film with lacking effects and a boring story. The plot is scrambled and the acting is less than bearable.
Bill T (jp) wrote: OK comedy here, except Myrna Loy and Cary Grant look tired, and Shirley Temple ia trying way too hard. Grant and Temple don't create any acting chemistry together, and while the combination sounds appealing, Loy and Grant appear to just want to get the whole thing over with. Doesn't show any life until the final third, with a brilliant dinner scene and the amusing conclusiion.

Alex T (ag) wrote: It feels very believable and relatable but lacks any real punch with it??s laughs, which is a shame as the characters and plot are great, especially in the first half of the film.
Marvin N (mx) wrote: funny is hard. this movie is funny. the critics are a bunch of uptight snobs. they consider a DUD like "spy" funny. it's not. most comedies aren't funny.
