Andrew W (br) wrote: Low budget reinterpretation of HG Wells novel, though lacking in soul is competently done.

Heather M (mx) wrote: Garcia and Farmiga were adorable together. The day they spend together will change them for the rest of their lives, but what a tragic ending for their love story.

Jeff B (ca) wrote: I liked it, and I like open endings.

Scott J (gb) wrote: My lord... I am ashamed to have sat through this one. You'd think I'd have been warned off by it having the 'star' of some awful American Pie in-name-only DVD sequel in it!! I will live and learn ... but probably not!!

Scott M (nl) wrote: Good movie, but not great. The scenes with Michael Cera and Jonah Hill are the best and funniest scenes. Especially Jonah Hill, who really knows how to act like a disgusting seventeen year old. Another thing I liked about it is the look of the movie. Its a throw back to the 70's. The clothes, the hair, the way it was shot.

Eddie (br) wrote: Well Written And Directed Musical!!

Giuliana L (us) wrote: Beautifully shot documentary about birds travels all over the world. Stunning. The flamingo dance is amazing to behold.

Edmund P (mx) wrote: The fight scenes are cool and the animation is superb but the whole thing falls apart on two levels. For non-fans of the source material this is just an incoherent melodramatic mess. For fans of the source material such as myself, this movie is nothing better than just a clipshow of certain moments from the manga with no story explanation and a tad better animation. Also, the characterization of Kenshin is totally off so yeah screw this movie.

Michael M (kr) wrote: This film is violent, intense, and disturbing. It is based on a true story and I recommend it if you enjoyed films like American History X, We Need to Talk about Kevin, and The Place Beyond the Pines.

Andres U (jp) wrote: Que porqueria. recuerdo esto y me da angustia y depresion.

Chris W (it) wrote: Eh, it wasn't as amateur as I expected. It's almost like a precursor to Final Destination but instead of death killing people, it's an actual killer using electronics. Plus, it has the awkward chick from Leprechaun 2 in it!

Clint F (kr) wrote: a hard dvd to find. broke out the vhs to see it again. One of those movie to watch when in a funk or something

Michael K (it) wrote: In this one Bronson plays Jay Killon who is the bodyguard of the first lady. This one probably has not had a DVD release in Australia due to its political content in a pre 911 world.

Adrian B (kr) wrote: One of Jonathan Demme's earliest works is splendid, with milk man Melvin (Paul le Mat) driving one night and picks up a very grubby individual, who happens to be Howard Hughes (Jason Robards). They have an in depth conversation as he drives him to Las Vegas, which includes singing "Bye Black Bird." After that, Melvin never sees him again. As the story progresses, Melvin's wife (Mary Steenburgen) leaves him, becomes a stripper, remarries him, and wins a talent contest which includes several nice prices. Melvin wants to utilize the money and that enrages his wife, and he leaves him again! He quits his job as milk man and moves to Utah. Then he receives the astonishing news: Hughes has passed away and named him a beneficiary in his will for $156 million dollars. Memorable story, characters, songs, and photography make this unfortunately underrated work one of better films of 1980. Wonderful conclusion as it shows that the down-on-his-luck guy can win against a higher authority.

Sean C (kr) wrote: Terrific sci-fi! Monty Norman's ominous score and the sun bleached empty streets of London make for a gripping opening. From there it never seizes up as writers at the Daily Express suss that a couple of big bombs have caused the Earth to tilt and head towards the sun. Makes you sweaty just thinking about it.

Dyron W (br) wrote: John Travolta gives a sly performance and Dwayne Johnson and Vince Vaughn make a hilariously fun team but they couldn't save this stale, uninspired and overly-self aware "Get Shorty" sequel completely.

Carlos Z (jp) wrote: Kind of dumb, but enjoyable

Ryan K (fr) wrote: Smokin' Aces is a pretty fun and crazy movie. It's odd sense of dark humor, insane over the top violence and array of characters makes this interesting. The story is pretty interesting as well but with too much happening and with too many characters though makes it a bit overwhelming. The style is sparatic and insane. I found myself sometimes finding it hard to keep up with and sometimes the movie became really weird. Other than that Smokin' Aces is a pretty entertaining hitman/gangster/action/comedy movie. I had fun and went into this knowing what to expect and I felt ok with the end result.
