A southern town is rocked by scandal when teenager Mary Clay is murdered on Confederate Decoration Day. Andrew Griffin, a small-time lawyer with political ambitions, sees the crime as his ticket to the Senate if he can find the right victim to finger for the crime. He sets out to convict Robert Hale, a transplanted northerner who was Mary's teacher at the business school where she was killed. Despite the fact that all the evidence against Hale is circumstantial, Griffin works with a ruthless reporter to create a media frenzy of prejudice and hate against the teacher.

Notice how every male in the movie ends up accusing the two leads characters of being lesbians (and for these men that is an accusation). This is great movie that never got as much attention as it deserved.

The plot is about a group of people going to an island with live dinosaurs. But some of the workers are trying to smuggle embryos off the island and they turn off the power releasing all the dinosaurs. The survivors then have to make it off the island before they get killed. This movie has dozens of memorable scenes which are too many to name all of them but the most memorable for me is when we first see the T-Rex destroy the car. The movie actually explains why the dinosaurs exist and it explains how they made them. Even though this can't happen in reality, it's always impressive for sci-fi films to have the plot have believable elements. Realism isn't necessary but it does make them more interesting to me. The 2nd and 3rd movies weren't that good compared to this one but "Jurassic World" might be the one that brings back the charm of the original one. This is an outstanding movie and every sci-fi fan needs to see this.

The stereotypes of white people are funny cryptoracist cryptofacist dago cop "I see your kind likes to stick up for eacother just like in Vietnam" worried about "gangs" duking it out. What a douchebag!Btw they should have made movies with the small drunk asian character Kwon instead.

Janis Joplin, the Mamas and Papas, Canned Heat, and Otis Redding, only months before his death that same year. And who can forget The Who's rowdy performance of "My Generation" complete with Pete Townshend's destructive antics, only to be topped by Jimi Hendrix setting his guitar on fire, and then smashing his guitar? Ravi Shankar's ending piece rounds off what was one of the most notable music festivals of the 1960's, topped later by Woodstock.
