Kid lives the same day over and over... yet he's not bright enough to do anything too cool like Bill Murrey did (robbing banks, killing himself, ext). This kid learns how to skateboard... If this do-over gift was given to anybody else they'd be living large, but he's kind of not to bright I guess. All in all the movie was enjoyable, though.

Jacob M (ag) wrote: The second to last package film is here for me to review. In what I believe is the sequel to Make Mine Music, Melody Time once again combines animation with modern-day music in seven segments: 1. Once Upon a Wintertime- Shows a couple ice skating which turns into a near tragedy. 2. Bumble Boogie- Freddy Martin jams while a bee is going crazy to a jazzy version of "Flight of the Bumblebee." 3. Johnny Appleseed- Dennis Day narrates the story of Johnny Appleseed, the man who went around planting apple trees for many Americans. 4. Little Toot- A mischievous tug boat causes trouble in the ocean while The Andrews Sisters sing it. 5. Trees- Showcases beautiful animation of trees. 6. Blame it on the Samba- Donald and Jose Carioca go into Samba mood with the help of the Aracuan Bird from Three Caballeros. 7. Pecos Bill- In the final segment, Roy Rodgers tells the story about the man who was raised by coyotes and changed the west forever. Like Make Mine Music, these two films were meant to be direct sequels to Fantasia but is failure at the box-office led to Disney's Plan B, which was this. Melody Time has a stronger reputation from Disney because the stories are more recognized from audiences. In my mind, Melody Time is about as great as Make Mine Music, maybe even a little better. In the two years between the two films, the animation has upgraded, which is always a good thing. The stories are pretty entertaining, and the music is outstanding. If I have any problems with the film, it would have to be the decision to make Pecos Bill the finale instead of Johnny Appleseed. The ending in Johnny Appleseed, with the beautiful animation, would have been perfect to end the film. While I enjoyed Pecos Bill, the ending for the segment was too weird an ending to end the film on. What made Fantasia and Make Mine Music great was that they both used bittersweet, emotional finales to end their film. Melody Time did not. But as a whole, Melody Time is still an entertaining addition to the Disney library and is worth a look for the many who haven't seen it.
Ian C (it) wrote: This really cracked me up. The legend that is Van Damme goes full retard and yet again plays his double. Rooker is the balls as the cop on the trail of the serial killing Belgian and his clone is comedy gold. The scene with the hooker had me on the floor. Some great action sequences from Ringo Lam and the text book splits from the master.
Lauri A (au) wrote: It's a comedy classic in the sense that it will actually make you laugh. If you never seen this but you laugh at stupid shit like "Harold and Kumar" then you will absolutely love this film! You don't necessarily have to be a stoner in order to laugh but like i said its brilliant. SNL MOVIE COMEDY CLASSIC.
