Adrian Z (us) wrote: Subpar actioner in which Lundgren plays a mercenary tasked with rescuing a girl from a zombie-infected city with the aid of some robots. On paper, an intriguing Z-grade concept, in execution terribly unexciting. Jerk-o-cam during action scenes tries to hide their sluggishness, while the acting is bad and the writing less than competent. That said, for a low budget direct-to-video film that uses Malaysia as an inadequate stand in for a generic American city, Battle of the Damned does a smidge better than some of the latter big budget Resident Evil flicks!
