Mikhail B (es) wrote: Educational stuff about American Indians and their life with the Yankee that touched upon all major problems of the time. The movi averall is weak. The most impressive for me was the contrast between the wonderfully shot sequence of massacre of the whites by thousands of Indians in the beginning of the movie and the latter's wretched existence.

It's polished, first-person perspective flows like an extended "Sopranos" episode.Aside from a complete lack of vilification of Gotti the criminal, the film has the chops to sit at the top of the mob-movie playlist.

Adam B (nl) wrote: I've never seen a movie quite like this and probably never will again, and its a damn shame. A small town threatened by soft rock, and house occupied by an insane and evil family (the head of which is Hitler whose been waiting for 40 years to shed his new indentity), and zombies for some reason. It also has one of the greatest lines in movie history in a scene that demands to be witnessed: "Jesus Ed, did you fart?"

Jon K (es) wrote: I look at Burt Reynolds like this...if he had stopped making films by 83' his carrer would have been the stuff of legends. White Lightning is one of his absolute best!! Very emotional role for him and just an all around great movie. Better than Smoky.
