Sheldon N (au) wrote: "Postal" is an interesting case study. Another movie by the infamous Uwe Boll, this movie is clearly bad on purpose. While his other movie have attempted to take themselves seriously, with "Postal," Boll has decided to embrace his title as the worst living director out there, and has deliberately made a terrible movie with elements to offend everyone and make them hate him on purpose. It even opens with a scene that makes fun of 9/11 and United 93. I'm so not kidding about that. Yes, Boll has officially become the Tony Clifton of film directors. And, I can't believe I'm saying this about an Uwe Boll film, but it's not as bad as I expected it to be. Don't get me wrong. It's still a terrible movie. But there's a certain charm to the self-deprecation Boll engages in (he actually appears as himself in the movie), and he does manage to capture the spirit of the game the movie it's based on, which itself terrible. In a way, it works to a point that I can't give the movie a bottom rating, although still a pretty low one. But it's interesting to see what happens when a filmmaker gives up on making "serious" movies, and says "Screw it! People already think our movies are terrible. Let's see how bad of a movie we can actually make."Only recommended for people who want to see how bad a movie can be when it's bad on purpose.

Charlie D (jp) wrote: The best rated film in the series and again even with the impossibly-super-coincidental death scenes it still to a certain degree has a sense of pleasure.

Shawn O (ca) wrote: Not sure if it's really a dark comedy. Dark comedies are dramas that are offset with humor that is considered dark. Nevertheless, I give this 1/4 Stars.

Andy D (nl) wrote: Absolutely brilliant and so completely horrific. The train-top number and Preity's song debut both have to be seen to be believed: completely insane! Like all of Mani Ratnam's work, this is a difficult film, but the payoff is incredible.

Steve E (it) wrote: Very amateurish, It's ok to be an indie and to make low-budget films, but this one Fulci, a teenager with a camcorder and an editing software could have done better than you did. No Stars. Very boring.

Riplee (br) wrote: I enjoyed this, and the things that they threw in to mix up the plot, as well as the ending. That was not what I had expected.

Scott C (nl) wrote: A ridiculous action picture with a likeable cast. Not great, but you could do a lot worse.

Facebook U (it) wrote: A delightful road trip/buddy movie about two aging former brothers-in-law who go on a fun-filled road trip through Iceland, proving you're never too old to have a good time. Life is indeed what we make of it.

Daniel S (ru) wrote: This has gotten to be pretty well known in the past decade, so i figured id get hip and check it out, it was way more focused on character development than i thought, as there really isnt any action until almost an hour in, and it worked, as i definitely bought the bond between Denzel and Dakota (who did a great job despite being only 9) and made his revenge mission all the more believable, i admit i was really into the story, but it was ruined by the super unnecessary tony scott fast cuts, which are just super distracting and took me out of the movie, the scenes without them, where's there's just characters talking, work great, idk why he felt the need to add these things, i know they're his trademark, but it seemed way more present than in his other films, id still recommend based on the story and actors, but it couldve been way better

Max M (kr) wrote: In reindeer games Ben affleck stars as Rudy who had just left prison shortly before he had left his cell mate named nick had a pen pal named Ashley played by charlize Theron which nick is stabbed in prison but spoiler alert he didn't die so now rudy is free from prison and poses as nick which then Rudy is encountered by Ashley's Brother Gabriel played Gary sinise who is after rudy. But overall reindeer games is a pretty good decent action thriller that has some twists then and there,it's action packed and thrilling, and besides the decent story let me just say another bonus Charlize Theron's nice boobies shown every once in a while in this movie. But overall as I said its a pretty decent movie.

Leonard D (ag) wrote: Kevin Costner is a good actor, but couldn't he even try harder to make an authentic British accent? This movie had allot going for it back in this time, kinda holds up today. The problems were the music, and the characters. They were not entirely bad, these things were good, but...they were played out a bit too obviously by the filmmakers. If maid Marien is supposed to be the damsel in distress, then why would they present her as a fighter whom can look after herself? Why does the music need to be played so intensely when Marien is saying goodbye to Robin? Maybe if the creators weren't so obvious with these things, the film would have flowed much better then it already is.The one major thing which was really enjoyable about this movie was Alan Rickman as the Sheriff of Nottingham! Wow, did he put on an incredible portrayel of this character or what!? At the end, this movie wasn't great, but it's still worth seeing a few more times!

Rick Q (jp) wrote: there may be some great performances, particularly from campbell scott, but "roger dodger" doesn't have much to offer other than having a main character that is unlikable from start to finish. i don't mind films with unlikable lead characters. in fact, those are often some of my favorite movies. but there needs to be something more there, and in "roger dodger", there isn't.
