Leon B (au) wrote: Review:What an awful movie. I really don't know what the hell the director was trying to attempt. Watching Keanu Reeves walk around in a complete daze for an hour and a half is definitely not entertaining. The storyline is complete rubbish, but the acting wasn't bad from the girls who had to make the best out of an awful script. The whole thing seemed liked it was filmed on someone's phone. Personally I don't know what the hell the film is about. My mind switched off halfway through the movie because nothing was happening. This has to be Keanu a Reeves worst film. Awful!Round-Up:Keanu a Reeves has a unique and strange way of acting which works in some films but not in all. It's weird seeing him come from the Bill & Ted's movies to the Matrix and then he comes out with this rubbish. I just hope that his 47 Ronin movie is good because this movie has to go down as a bad choice. As for the other characters in the film, I haven't really seen them in anything else so I can't really comment on there previous projects, but they did put in an emotional performance which seemed very real. I know that there was a point to this story with the ending, but I just didn't get it.I recommend this movie to people who want to watch Keanu Reeves walk around in a complete daze. 1/10

Derek B (it) wrote: I LOVE Star Trek! This film doesn't quite do it for me; while there is nothing like James Kirk, the nostalgia of the series is the valuable piece here. This film has way too many overlong ship panoramas, stretched out encounter sequences and periods of standing around. Not my favorite of the Star Trek films by far. But for any Trekkie it's a must see just on principle.

Kate H (kr) wrote: Why do I bother? Because I can't resist a trainwreck even when it makes a movie laughable and just ridiculous. The formula they've been going for here has reached new levels of low and that's saying something for this franchise. The biggest sin here is that a) you can now 'see' the activity and b) the CGI was done very, very badly so it is impossible to find anything menacing at all. A door closing can be scary or tension building or anything. A door being closed by a weird CGI blob is another thing entirely.Creepy kids are a horror film trope and Paranormal Activity has been no exception but the fearlessness of this girl is just unbelievable. I feel like most six year olds I know when confronted with weird CGI blob would just burst into tears and run into their parents' bedrooms. Just a thought. As we go along, the ties to the first movie become more and more insubstantial (and why do you have to make everything connected? You don't have do. It's not written in the Horror Film Bible as some other stuff is), the 'answers' are not answers and everything is just a tangled mess and, of course, the characters don't matter. Like, everyone is cardboard cutouts. When bad stuff happens you extra special don't care.I hear this is the last one. I hope it is. I can't handle a seventh one because I will definitely end up watching it anyway because I have no restraint.
