Although the action takes place in Prague, most of the camerawork seems to have been done around Romania, leading to some rather hilarious situations ( a Czech bus from Prague pulling up to a station for the main character to get on, swiftly followed by a Bucharest bus or a b roll shot of one of Prague's most famous squares followed by a dialogue scene where Romanian flags feature prominently in the background). In any case it's nice to see that Dolph Lundgren is still working and has even started to do a bit of clumsy acting in between action scenes.

The intricacies and subtleties of the script and form of the film create a perfect, true to life portrait, covering the universal topics of religion, love and family. Beautifully shot and designed Vallee walks the line between the slightly surreal and reality perfectly, giving incite into the character's minds, bodies and souls. Ultimately this is a film about connection and understanding both towards others and of oneself. This is beautifully realized through the steady direction of Vallee and the incredible cast who are there every step of the way with him. In the end family is all we have. We don't choose them, but the bond we share with them is one that is too strong to be broken, no matter how different we may be.

And there's more of Jay and Silent Bob !Nous dcouvrons un Kevin Smith plus mature et c'est chouette et drle. C'est une histoire qui nous fait rire et rflchir. Et on retrouve Jay et Silencieux Bob !

(au) wrote: Not bad, but not great. I will say that it's a very weak film. The stuff that's in the first film is missing. Although, there were some parts that were still enjoyable. Overall, I can see why it's weak, but it's still watchable.
