Two horror segments based on Edgar Allan Poe stories set in and around the city of Pittsburgh. "The Facts in the Case of M. Valdemar" concerns a cheating wife who is trying to scam her dying husband out of millions by having her doctor/hypnotist lover hypnotize the geezer into signing his dough over to her. The old man dies while under hypnosis and is stuck in the limbo between the here and the hereafter. The door to the physical world is opened and the undead attempt to enter it. "Black Cat" is the story of Rodd Usher, an alcoholic photographer/artist, who descends into madness after he kills a stray cat that his live-in girlfriend Annabelle brings home. One murder leads to another, and the complex cover-ups begin.

Greg R (ca) wrote: I'd say this film is a Aladdin rip-off, but this movie had been in production for 30 years that I highly doubt it. This is Richard Williams passion project and I think it's pretty good, has some nice colors, animation, creative and some surreal visuals that are really cool to watch. Theres a version relying more on monologue which is not as good but that's not really the version I'm talking about.

Michael F (au) wrote: This movie sucks so much asshole. I remember being VERY excited for Exorcist: the Beginning and one day sat and watched an E! special on the Exorcist series. They mentioned how this movie was made, then the company execs rejected it saying it wasnt good enough. This did nothing but hype me even more for the forthcoming Exorcist: the Beginning movie. Ultimately Exorcist: the Beginning sucked and i remember THinking, "there's no way the other version could be worse than this piece of shit." I was wrong. DEAD FUCKING WRONG. This movie is god awful and not in a comparison to the original but as a movie to stand alone it's SUCH a piece of shit. Please do not see this.
