Vanilla Sky

Vanilla Sky

David Aames (Tom Cruise) has it all: wealth, good looks and gorgeous women on his arm. But just as he begins falling for the warmhearted Sofia (Penelope Cruz), his face is horribly disfigured in a car accident. That's just the beginning of his troubles as the lines between illusion and reality, between life and death, are blurred.

Vanilla Sky is the story of a self-indulgent and vain publishing magnate who finds himself on an unexpected roller-coaster ride of romance, comedy, suspicion, love, sex and dreams after a vehicular accident with a resentful lover. . You can read more in Google, Youtube, Wiki

Luke T (kr) wrote: This film may well have won the Academy Award, BAFTA and Golden Globe for Best Picture, but unfortunately this film from director Steve McQueen is one that I was not really keen on.The film is set in pre-Civil War United States, where a free man (played by Chiwetel Ejiofor) is abducted and sold into slavery. Whilst McQueen's direction lets you see the emotion, the film can be extremely harrowing at times, and it is a very hard watch, meaning some of you may find the film uncomfortable. The film can also be confusing as well, meaning it is a little hard to try and work out what's happening. However, because of the movie's big success from the Awards season, it does send out a very important message - that slavery is a very bad thing and it must be stopped. Don't worry if you find this to be an uncomfortable movie.

Adam B (es) wrote: Being a fan of both big and pac, I thought I would give this documentary a try, not knowing naything about the director. I know some information about both murders, but not really anything in depth or specific, and Broomfield really presented no new information to the cases. It seems as if he interviews people in a random fashion and doesnt have any direction in the film, nor does he break anything interesting or relevant. A for effort, but not worth watching.
