It's quite brutal and gory but has a really good story and is bordering on masterpiece as far as the directing is concerned, which is quite astonishing as it was made by mad max.
Terry C (au) wrote: Only comment: Kate Capshaw was a producer on this yet casts Blythe Danner as her mother when in reality Ms Danner' is only 11years older than Capshaw. This movie may be 16 years old, but, come on, if women don't take care of each other, no one will.

William F (ru) wrote: In my opinion, this is one of the definitive better films of the series. Perfectly adapts its source material, exactly as I'd envisioned it leaping out of the pages. The casting is superb, the directing is great, the sets are flawless, and the musical score is iconic. What else can I say, except that it's just one of those perfect films that manages to be a perfect adaptation.
Ian W (it) wrote: Yes, it is inherently stupid, although there are some genuinely funny parts and whilst it is does not reach the heights of Scary Movie it is a brave attempt to parody one of the most popular movie franchises to date. I actually wonder why it had not been done sooner than this. Now if only we could get a spoof movie based on Taken or The Avengers. They could be quite good, if done well.
