(ag) wrote: A terribly enjoyable film, the success of this film can be found in Travolta's unnecessarily crazed character work and its mindless screenplay...yet in the end, it's still a steaming pile of crap.
(kr) wrote: A hilarious, optimistic upper of a movie, with Larry David in "Curb Your Enthusiasm"-mode, and a good supporting cast.
(gb) wrote: This movie is a near perfect comedy. It is hilarious and Steve Coogan has never been better. Even Catherine Keener is very funny in her small role. Elisabeth Shue is great as Elisabeth Shue, which is nice to see actors be skewered a little bit and make jokes at their own expense. I wish they would show the entire play on the dvd because it looks hilarious.Great cast.
(nl) wrote: There's always a way to find happiness and this movie shows how much you can change if you find the right person, i must say that i really liked this movie, maybe it's not the greatest movie of all times but it sure has something amazing to offer and it's up to you to understand the message of this film.
(kr) wrote: Delightful Canadian comedy of a man who inherits a bankrupt funeral home in a town where no one dies. Some really funny moments, and very likeable characters. Graham Greene has a very subdued role, but plays deadpan very well. The main character was just great. Highly recommended

(gb) wrote: A renowned veterinarian and his family move to a rural area in a creepy house built next to an Indian burial ground which is now a pet cemetery. Oh and they live on a rural highway where everyone speeds because supposedly it's the only fun thing to do. Well, a tragic accident happens and poor doc goes nutso and buries something dead (no spoilers ) in the cemetery even though he's told by the cliche wise old man character not to do so. Well doc doesn't listen and the dead is resurrected to surprising consequences. If this all sounds silly it's because it is.

(de) wrote: This was a hard movie to watch. Other than the boy I don't know that there was on character you cared even a little bit about. The characters were all pretty disgusting. It was about 90 minutes but seemed so much longer. So why did I watch it? David Mackenzie, the director, did one of the year's best flims, Hell or High Water. This is the third movie of his I watched and it is interesting to see how he has evolved. Again I thankful for rental dvd Netflix who has such a catalog of movies.
