(us) wrote: This is an amazing story, with a very even and gratifying portrayal of all the justice league characters fairly. There personalities are amazing and the villains are perfect for this storyline.
(ca) wrote: great film with a clever use of the found footage
(br) wrote: Boring at parts, but still a very good biopic with strong performances from Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon
(au) wrote: It is a few stones away from feeling like a good version.
(it) wrote: Good movie, good plot, excellent cast. As sad as this may sound, as funny as the movie can be, it is also serious. Someone who installs a security system of some sort may actually break into your house or car.
(au) wrote: Misplaced and miscast.
(jp) wrote: Mark Hamill pretending to do a Christian Bale 'Batman' voice and then it all goes pretty much down hill from there. Sure I remember this being better when I first watched it about 15yrs ago. Shame.
(nl) wrote: This is an excellent misfit comedy. The 15 rating gives it edge that the sequels lack. Public safnny momentsety takes a turn for the worse in this hit comedy, which spawned a long-running FRANCHISE. As a crime wave sweeps through a major city, the mayor decides that part of the problem may stem from overly restrictive qualifications for police officers, so she opens the door of the city's Police Academy to anyone who wants to join. This is a film with wonderful characters that each have a great and funny moments on screen. The script is simple, witty and produces the right amount of laughs without going over board. It is almost a one-joke film but works. A good cast and a film that Steve Guttenberg can we happy with. It does slow towards the final half and the ending is probably the worst part but it started a franchise with hit and miss sequels. Still, it'll always be this original film, that'll always be the best. Micheal Winslow, of course, steals the show as Jones and his amazing sound effects.

(gb) wrote: This is a marvelous romantic drama about a shell-shocked amnesiac WWI vet (Ronald Colman) who falls in love with a music hall star (Greer Garson). They marry and have a child but while in Liverpool he suffers a car accident which restores his previous memories but erases all of his memories of his post-war life. Years later Garson becomes his secretary, changing her name and all and he eventually falls in love her all over again, marry becomes more successful. All the while, Garson's character drops hints here and there about their previous romance but it's only when he visits the town they originally met and fell in love that he begins to remember what had happened in between the three years of having become an amnesiac to when he had the car accident. He opens the front door with the key that he has been holding ever since the car accident and right there Garson calls out to him in the name she originally knew him by and then the kiss. Now the whole story is almost unbelievable but what makes the viewer really believe what is happening could actually happen is the magnificent script based on the novel by James Hilton (Lost Horizon; Goodbye, Mr. Chips), Mervyn LeRoy's excellent, not so sentimental direction, but most importantly the performances by Ronald Colman and Greer Garson in the lead roles. The casting was absolutely perfect. Ronald Colman, in an Oscar nominated role, gives one of his best perfromances and Greer Garson would have surely had an Oscar nomination for this movie if she was not only nominated but won that same year for Mrs. Miniver. The b&w cinematography is also superb. This is a romantic film that I recommend to the fullest. Great movie. 9/10
(br) wrote: Unfettered capitalism, coroporatism, the worship of anti-intellectualism and the fetishization of celebrity's ultimate result brilliantly portrayed in this futuristic film. Caleb Jones is absolutely perfect as the protagonist working at a corporation selling celebrity viruses to allow fans to feel close to their favourite stars by having the same viruses that they do. Caleb Jones as Syd March has that ethereal beauty and paleness to pull of the part perfectly as does Sarah Gadon as Hannah Geist the main star on exclusive contract with the Lucas Clinic. I take this film as a caricature of what we are becoming and it's not pretty.
