Kenric D (it) wrote: Action films have a tendency to become all style, no substance. most action movies have horrible storylines, but yet have great special FX. this is not the case with Exiled. this film has great action sequences, but also has a wonderful story. some scenes are so intense you will catch yourself tending up. the characters are extremely well developed, and you care for them. the director, Johnnie To, is like the Quentin Tarantino of Hong Kong cinema, but less violent. By the end of this movie, you will have another favorite director. I highly recommend exiled. if you want to see a good action movie that has a story you will care about, then watch Exiled

Richard D (es) wrote: What do you get if you mercilessly rip-off "The Wedding Banquet" and then add a big dose of "Play It Again, Sam" to kind of hide the fact? This. Only in true Canadian film industry fashion, none of the actors are really good enough to pull it off. Kyle MacLachlan is the big name they pulled in and if I never see him do a Cary Grant impersonation again, I can truly die a happy man.

Daniel D (de) wrote: My final David Lean, Noel Coward adaption I viewed was Blithe Spirit. I fell in love with this movie. There's no paranormal movie quiet like this. It's elegant in humor and moves quickly. There are no scares, it's more in depth on the idea of the other world, and a humorous view of how life is after you die. David Lean morphed the dead with the living, when an estranged wife comes to "visit" her husband and his second wife. She terrorizes the family through this, and a quote brought up early in this movie really summarizes it well. " It's discouraging to think how many people are shocked by honesty and how few by deceit". Not only is it a great line but it is perfect in the film. Harrison, Cummings, and Hamond have great on screen chemistry, making this an amazing feel good comedy.
