Wild Gals of the Naked West
An old geezer recalls some of the antics of the men and women of his western town, more wild and woolly than Tombstone or Dodge City. In this town no one is a good shot, the women are hungry for new meat, and practical jokers abound. A stranger strolls into town, proving resistant to the mayhem, and after donning some cowboy duds begins cleaning up that town.

(de) wrote: This low-budget indie is just as cheesy as its title implies. Susan Sarandon's love for ping pong -- she owns a ping pong bar in NYC called Spin -- has her co-starring in this coming-of-age tale set in 1985 about a 13-year old Maryland boy obsessed with ping pong. The boy's name is Rad Miracle (the family's last name is Miracle and I'm assuming is first name is actually Brad -- but he is "so 80's like!") and he finds himself vacationing with his family in the tourist trap/haven of Ocean City where he would rather frequent the local arcade and play ping pong than visit the surf and sand of the beach. It is here that he confronts the local town bully (rich kid with a car) who believes he is the superior ping pong player ... and by summer's end the two plan on competing in a head-to-head match. Oh the innocence of the 80's! Sarandon plays a mentor figure to Rad who teaches him some of the nuances of the game. Lea Thompson (Back to the Future) plays Rad's mother and keep your eye open for a blink-and-you-miss it cameo by a DeLorean as a nod to both her and 1985. This is a throwback tribute to the decade of parachute pants and breakdancing. It is harmless but it veers young ... and I'm not sure today's generation cares about what it was like in the ancient past.
