Lars M (fr) wrote: This! This is soooo good. Not that perfect evil scheme coming together but revenge as it should be - ugly, hard, all-consuming, soulcrushing and NOT something to strive for.

Nilufer R (au) wrote: Very disturbing in deed! It sure was interesting and the cast was good but it made me sick to my stomach to watch it. I felt uncomfortable most of the times and repulsed the rest of it. Predictable ending still highly watchable. Weird.

Krista B (ca) wrote: Not bad. Although it looks and feels like it's going to be a low-budget ripoff of Saw, Steel Trap is actually a slasher in the more traditional, stalk-and-kill sense of the genre. It's not bad, considering its limited resources, and ends up being a fun - if unremarkable - genre entry for slasher fans. There's no harm checking this one out.

But I suppose, if westerns had John Ford as a traditionalist filmmaker and Sergio Leone as a revolutioner who shattered that sanitized and mythic image and made it dirty and unheroic, I could apply that same logic to samurai films of Akira Kurosawa and then to what Kenji Misumi accomplished in this first chapter. I guess that shallow explanation could serve a newcomer to picture what kind of brilliant and bloody action film they'll find here.

Michael W (br) wrote: Not what I expected. Kept waiting for something big to happen but felt like it never did. And shartlo Copley wasn't even in the movie tht long which is why I watched it.

Orlok W (au) wrote: A masterful black comedy of worker/management relations!!
