This internationally popular tale of a brother and sister seeking vengeance for the death of their parents through the mythical yin/yang Holy Flame technique is an eye-filling epic. Kuo Chue (a.k.a. Philip Kwok), famous as the star of Chang Cheh's internationally famous "Venom" film series, both co-stars and choreographs this impressive tale - leading to a vaunted "action director" career with both the 007 thriller Tomorrow Never Dies and the cult classic Brotherhood of the Wolf to his credit. . This film will not be accessible to all nor appreciated by most but those who do will love it, about fathers and sons, writers, a slow descent into dementia and the struggles of the working class. A beautiful, beautiful film
Jonny F (fr) wrote: What a heap, the wince a minute dialog is so very bad the already weak cast didn't stand a chance. Two black British D list stars of comedy as the two main bad guys great choice ;).Rise of the Footsoldier isn't such a bad movie for a British movie but Rollin' With the Nines sucks shaved dogs balls
Calib M (kr) wrote: People might say this is a ''gay cowboy movie'' but that's a drastic generalisation. This movie is about 2 men who are forced into an exiled situation where they have nothing but eachother and they start to fall for eachother. It's about their relationship, their attempt to cope with their forbidden relationship and everything surrounding their lives and how it progresses over the years. To hold this movie together are Gyllenhaal and Ledger's performances of their careers, even though Donnie Darko sure is interesting and The Dark Knight is more flashy, these performances are the most controlled, layered and meaningful. All in all Brokeback Mountain is an emotionally driven masterpiece of a romantic movie, it succeeds on every level.Brokeback Mountain is a beautiful movie about love between two men.

Matt C (de) wrote: Damn good, yet the scenes filmed during the convention riots in grant park fucking get to me. You can see how everyone is scared, and just all one can do is watch humanity implode. Tough to watch the wounds get inflicted upon their city growing up only occasionally seeing the scars. I like that a work of fiction was able to by chance capture such an intimate view into nonfiction, It softens the shock, the brain has a chance at processing some thought. I think some studs is called as supplemental.

Joetaeb D (ru) wrote: I think there's a reason why George Lazenby played Bond only once, He's got the looks, but not the acting. Seriously, his delivery was so weak I found out some of his lines had to be dubbed over. He's a really strange sore spot because the film around is pretty solid, It's one of the better technically crafted 60's Bond films as the skiing moments are some of the best I've ever seen filmed.
Steve W (us) wrote: I'll give this movie 3 and a half stars for the solid premise and really good acting. The only thing holding this movie back is the weak third act. It does give us a very fresh and original storyline with some compelling themes about prejudice, but the ending is poor.
