Yogi Bear

Jellystone Park has been losing business, so greedy Mayor Brown decides to shut it down and sell the land. That means families will no longer be able to experience the natural beauty of the outdoors -- and, even worse, Yogi and Boo Boo will be tossed out of the only home they've ever known. Faced with his biggest challenge ever, Yogi must prove that he really is "smarter than the average bear" as he and Boo Boo join forces with their old nemesis Ranger Smith to find a way to save Jellystone Park from closing forever.

Yogi and his sidekick, Boo Boo, are Jellystone Park's most-notorious troublemakers, hatching countless schemes to separate park visitors from their vittles. But he and Boo Boo are about to face a situation worse than anything Yogi has ever gotten them into... Alec B (fr) wrote: There's an argument to be made that the more convoluted the "plot", the better these movies are . . . none of what's happening in "Retribution" makes any kind of sense and yet I found it the most enjoyable in this improbable series. No one is going to call Paul W.S. Anderson a great filmmaker, but he demonstrates some minor visual ambition here that I would not have expected from him.

Troy H (mx) wrote: Extremely well acted study of a love triangle, most notable for its matter of fact and mercifully unjudgemental portrait of homosexuality. Compared with the later Brokeback Mountain, this doesn't make a huge to-do about the fact that two men are in love (or lust, at least) with each other and aren't afraid to show it.

Kent K (nl) wrote: I just watched this (on an HD wide screen) for the first time since I saw it on the big screen as a kid, in 1958. The color filtering is annoying (tinting orange or blue, with fuzzy framing) when it's time for songs - but the setting is so beautiful, and the music so good, that you can't help getting caught up into the romance of it all. "Some Enchanted Evening"; "Balai Ha'i"; "Younger Than Springtime"; "I'm In Love With a Wonderful Guy"; "I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Out of My Hair".

deano w (kr) wrote: Welcome back Chucky, this is a great movie that believe it or not went straight to dvd. The follow up will get a theatrical release because everybody loved this return to Chucky's horror roots. Gore is used effectively, suspenseful, funny in parts and even offers a vignette of the history of everybody' favorite doll. Great photography, hard to believe the studios didn't release this in theaters. shame shame
