Its a little long, as I definetly was ready for it to be over, but it does a really terrific job at chronicling the painstaking design process that (if done right) goes completely unnoticed by everyday consumers. Full of interviews with high profile and very influential designers from big name companies who offer alot of professional insight, but it is presented in an unobtrusive and seamless way that, despite their professional demeanor, makes it very accessible. All in all, its a little long and gets a little spaced out, but a pretty interesting look at a world that not many people see.

However, this movie is only for die-hard fans like myself. The main focus is on Arnold, Gerald and Helga, and I guess that make sesne because they were the three characters who had the most episodes focused on them. The only supporting characters that get a lot of attention are Helga's father, Big Bob, and Arnold's grandparents. The other supporting characters like Phoebe, Lila, Harold, Sid, Stinky, and Rhonda only make cameo appearances. I wish they could've been written into the story to join up with Arnold, Gerald and Helga in their quest to stop Scheck. This could've easily been a 90-minute TV special instead of a feature film, but at least it's not as disastrous as another Nickelodeon series that was adapted into a movie. I think you all know which one I'm talking about. This movie, I give a 6/10.

(nl) wrote: A respectable but not outstanding '80s neo-noir with some outstanding individual moments comprising a somewhat routine whole. I assume the more offbeat moments were a result of Ashby's sensibilities (I really want to know whose idea the sno-cones were). Not up to the level of Ashby's '70s work, but as final pictures go, he could have done worse.

(it) wrote: I like a good noir, and this so nearly is one. The last half hour was really quite exciting, but the first hour was hampered by back-to-front storytelling which confused rather than enlivened. I didn't find Slim, the bad guy, especially menacing either. It just lacked that little extra sparkle in the plot to lift it above 7/10.

They are the sparky comedy couple mirroring the conventional romance, between buff blond bandleader Gene Raymond and one of the most exquisitely gorgeous women ever to grace the screen, orchidaceous Dolores Del Rio. There are lots of gratuitous flying scenes (including the finale, where high-kicking, high-heeled chorines are fastened onto airplane wings for the nutty title song) since the producer was a major Pan-American Airlines stockholder.Watch it once!

(nl) wrote: Been years since i've seen this movie! Very cheaply done, but the story of one crazy bastard is told. Graphic and done to make the hairs on the back of your neck stand straight up and say FUCK! check it out on a rainy day, but don't expect as gross as hostel and don't expect a great quality movie like any of the Saw movies
