I, Daniel Blake is a film that will make you angry, frustrated, and sad at a system that seems designed to keep specific people in employment by making others jump through huge amounts of unnecessary beaurocratic hoops and red tape for even the faintest chance to be considered for what amounts to a non existent job. The film also has a huge amount of heart and soul put into it by its lead actors, with brilliant camerawork that genuinely feels like you are watching people's lives unfold in front of you.If there is one thing I have taken from I, Daniel Blake and it still sticks with me now, two days after viewing. If the workers in the job centre actually did what they are employed by the state for and helped people, wouldn't they themselves be surplus to requirements?Makes you think doesn't it.

The movie did show signs that he would go on to be a great visionary though, and when I watched this i could anticipate the makings of a legend. The movie plotwise was something that had been used time and time agaion and if it was someone like Bay directing could have turned into an action flick but Kubrick saw it had the space to be a perfect case scenario for deconstructing the characters.
