Angelopoulos is best.I saw it recently and it was same experience. my memory goes back with this cinema and reminds me "the Accused" for Judie foster grabbed the Oscar, "gorilla in the mist" and "out of Africa" all are classic and women character centric movies which i saw during same time periods.

Kevin M (fr) wrote: A great movie about justice and forgiveness. Kevin Sorbo does a great job as a preacher turned justice man. If you are a fan of westerns that don't hit the big screen this one is also a must see.

Anna B (ca) wrote: Everything outside the scenes going up the river and over the hill are pretty flaccid. In fact, the entire first hour is downright boring. I was also expecting something more dreamlike considering people speak of this as a spiritual successor to Aguirre. I think it was worth it, though. Watching that boat go up and down the hill is something everybody should experience. It's positively transcendent. Herzog is a madman.

Adam S (nl) wrote: I was pleasantly surprised by this film. "Malice" is an interesting enough thriller filled with twists and turns that genuinely keep the audience guessing. It started off slowly, and with little interest factor, but as the story went away from the generic murder mystery angle that it started with, it became a lot more fun. Although, lets face it, it still ain't Hitchcock. The film is anchored by serviceable performances from stars Alec Baldwin, Nicole Kidman and Bill Pullman (although none of them would probably class it as their best performance). The film also has memorable cameos from industry veterans George C. Scott and Ann Bancroft, and early bit roles for Gwyneth Paltrow and Ann Cusack.A decent enough thriller, good for a lazy night in.
