It's heartbreaking and inspiring, and though it may play out like a romance, the message is more transcendent and fulfilling then just the pursuit of love. The best parts I think though are the ones between Tom and his father; Bill Nighy is spot on as the aloof, caring father and the two are a great pair on screen.

(kr) wrote: I enjoyed it more than I thought I would even though the old virus story has been done before, It's basically 28 Days Later and Mad Max mixed, It had a chance to be different to the rest of its type but chose to go with action and gore, A few silly scenes ruined it but the action was ok, Predictable at times and not greatly acted but it's pretty fun in places, Could of been worse, Could of been better.

(fr) wrote: Not a bad zombie flick, but not great. It's more drama than zombie-action most of the movie. There are some cool practical zombie survival ideas, but some big misses too (e.g. often the characters run through hordes of zombies and merely push them away). Acting isn't very good, but there's no big names so everyone seems fresh.

(ca) wrote: I can't actually believe they even made this. It's people shooting guns almost nonstop. No story. I don't know what I was expecting since only the first movie was any good.
(ca) wrote: Absolutely brilliant movie! Forget its "horror" genre, in bare bones it's really a comedy + drama set in a zombie infested world. Zombies are just a staging area here. Somehow Jeremy Gardner made this movie on $6,000 budget and it's one of the best movies I've seen. Somehow it connects with you and at the same time disconnects from the rest of reality. Mix of down to Earth folks with everyday problems in a zombie world without any fake "action", pathetic heroism, and usual zombie cliche works its magic. God, how could I donate this guy some money so he can make another awesome movie?
